barbecue mat is must have product for grill and barbecue

I have 3 brands of barbecue mat. These are easier to clean after use. Remove from grill when still warm, spray with 409 or white vinegar in spray bottle. Then rinse off in the sink. Then sponge and liquid detergent, hang to dry. I like the size as it is all usable space when compared to other versions which have a thick border. Also needed one that was smaller, these can be cut to size with scissors. Use them on my Traeger and Oklahoma Joe Offset and they do not obstruct the smoke or heat. When I do an 8 hour cook, it is easy to turn the meat around when time to mop or spray with juice. Just grab one end of mat and slide around in circle to spray other side. Also makes it much easier when flipping the meat. Grabbing a 2nd set to safe keeping although still using original set year round.

I was very excited about the barbecue mat, it'd be perfect for fish or veggies or other items we like to grill, but that either stick to the grill grated or fall through. I used it for the first time last night for some marinated beef. I kept the grill under 400- recommended to keep under 500 degrees for the barbecue mat, there is no of the beef drippings . When I removed the BBQ grill mat after cooking and starting washing it (immediately per the recommendations on the box), There are two more in the set and this one is still usable until the entire thing burns away.

I have used the BBQ grill mat on my outdoor grill for grilled veggies and also in my smoker for smoked Pork Belly pieces. *meat candy!* They worked great. I was worried that washing them would be difficult but I soaked them in a sink of hot detergent water and the next morning scrubbed with a bristle brush and they came clean. Very non-stick and I like it because my food doesn’t fall through my grates. Cleans well, but some of the non-stick coating came off while cleaning. Hopefully still works great. I would recommend spraying it with non-stick stuff with every use. Very easy to clean nothing sticks to it I want to use it a few more times before I did a review and it works awesome. The mesh grill mats do make cleanup significantly easier. After they cool I transfer to the sink w soapy water and scrub them gently w a brush.

I used the barbecue mat to grill shrimp and veggies and they held up to the heat. The clean up was easy , I wiped it down with paper towel s while holding it with my tongs. After it cooled down I washed it soapy water and a sponge and rinsed. A good product and worth the price. You can slide hamburgers around on these mats like they are pucks on ice. I was honestly expecting something half the size. I’m very excited to start using these on our grill. Will update again once we do.
