I used the brown butcher paper several times to wrap meat that I had been smoking and put back in the smoker for several hours. It preserved the juices and the meat was much more tender than before I wrapped it. I found that tip several places on internet. If you read something that says wrap in butcher paper, this it. Very happy with the quality of the brown butcher paper and fast delivery. Wrapped my brisket after 7 hours in this paper and then after 7 more hours it came out very tender and juicy. I would recommend this for sure.
The butcher paper helped me make the best brisket I've ever smoked. It helps get the meat up to temp without drying out.Made some killer baby back ribs using this paper to wrap for 2 hours on the 2-2-1 method. Bark came out perfect. Not soggy and not too dry. It held the juices without leaking through. I also sometimes use it to protect my counters during messy cooking projects. The meat settled just right and had no taste or discoloration from the paper. I wish I had room in my kitchen to have it in a dispenser on the counter. This method of wrapping is a great alternative to foil.

I mostly use butcher paper for smoking and wrapping meets. But my wonderful girlfriend suggested we use it for table covering for picnic tables. Works and looks great. I love using the butcher's paper smoking meat are just for wrapping and putting in the freezer. This paper is very durable. I wasn't going to write a review because we purchased it for something totally different. We use this paper to line our parrots cages. It's cleaner than using newspaper, and I don't have to use as many layers.
