I bought YRYM HT Grill Mat to replace another brand of grill mats of lesser quality. I own a great set of YRYM HT grill tools and trust the brand. These mats are well designed, sturdy, and easy to clean. They make grill clean-up far easier without the mess. The product arrived as scheduled. I appreciate that the seller, YRYM HT, contacted me with useful information prior to using the product. I recommend YRYM HT Grill Mats as a high-quality grilling product.
This product was delivered on time. Although I have not used it yet on the grill, I have used it in the over with cookies and it works great. Baking on a darker sheet does make the cookies get darker fast but just under-cook them a little and it will be fine. The mat is so sturdy I have no doubt that when I do use it on the grill it will surpass my expectations. I do have a friend that did use it on the grill and she loves it. She said it cooked her food evenly on the grill and this is a staple to have. So I am excited to try it out when it gets nicer in my state.
I used this on my Weber charcoal grill and overall liked it. I have never used/owned a grill mat and like most, was in fear that the heat would melt the mat. These Grill mats can be used for temperatures up to 500 Degrees Fahrenheit. To my surprise, the mat did not melt during my cook out. I cooked some 1/2 lb, 1/4 lb burger patties, beer brats, and Angus bun length hot dogs. Everything cooked well on these mats and the best part was, nothing sticked! I was able to easily move the patties around. After removing all the meat I left it on the grill. I came back later when the coals died down to remove the mat for cleanup. Cleaning these was not easy, It was greasy by the grill marks and maybe I should have removed it right after cooking instead of letting it sit on the grill. Not a big deal, it is still usable, but I will make note to remove it right after cooking. The other issue I noticed, was the burgers did not taste as smokey as when I cook them directly on the grill. That might be good for some, but wanted to toss that out there. The beer brats and Angus hot dogs cooked to perfection and I would definitely use again for those.
